Beyond Poetry

Locks of red luster glisten in the sun
Betraying the beauty of the one I love
A smile that springs from the depth of your soul
Revealing her to my heart which she completely stole
To be captured in your embrace no words would dare
Dreaming of your sweet caress to which nothing compares
My heavenly companion from earth’s end to end
My strength, my compassion, my dearest friend
To make God my life you’ve taught me to never forget
In this world of darkness you’re a son that never sets
You are light, you are love, a masterpiece of art
I am transfixed by what you do, what you say, and who you are
There are no words that can express my love for thee
Like dawn or the wind, your spirit is beyond poetry
Yankees, Weather, Galactic Equater
by Timothy Lawton on Apr.19, 2009, under General
So far the Yankees are off to a bit of a slow start, but there’s still a 151 to go before the playoffs. I can’t believe I actually miss Lame-Rod’s bat and fielding, but I do. I think it’s great that Posada hit the first homerun in the stadium. I was hoping it would be him or Derek Jeter. Either of them deserved it because they’re both lifelong Yankees. (At least they should be. Just like Bernie Williams.)
Spring weather in New Jersey is usually boring and this year is generally not an exception. Yet, we did have that awesome widespread hailstorm. I’ve never seen a hailstorm cover so much of our area before. Usually it’s very isolated, but this event covered about 70 to 80% of our region. Another unusual fact about the storm was that the hail wasn’t round, but more like lifesavers or certs. Everyone I spoke to said that their hail was flat as well.
And as of now I haven’t heard of any previously unproven species being found or figured out, what if anything will happen when our solar system crosses the galactic equator in December 2012. ENJOY!!
Gardening Update
by Timothy Lawton on Apr.19, 2009, under Gardening
Today is probably the first truly warm day in weeks. I last posted at the beginning of April. Since then I have planted onions outside and my peas have grown about an inch or so. I have also started trays and trays of seedlings in my green houses. Broccoli, purple cauliflower, zinnias, morning glories, and a number of other plants over the last several weeks and just the other day I did 5 types of sunflower.
I planted lettuces, mustard, and spinach in the greenhouse which I just put outside in the shade to harden off to plant next week in the garden. At that time I will plant seeds of the same alongside them. I am going to use weed preventing fabric in almost every place that I can this year. I am even going to cut it into strips for my flower boxes. I’M SICK OF WEEDING!!!!
Another Failed Poem

Another breezy night
With beads of sweat littering my brow
Attempting to form thoughts I can write
Yet, nothing comes to mind right now.
MONEY

Money
Have I fallen for you too?
Or is it that everything just seems to have a price
Shackle, chain, weight
Binding, holding, burdening
Industry is business ( bizeeness)
Work is a means of survival
Money
Money so I can eat
Money so I can move
Money so I can watch
Money so I can dress
Money so I can stay warm
Money so I can talk
Money so I can make money
Money
Have I fallen for you too?
Or, is it you just taint the air around me
Infesting our thoughts and polluting our actions
Industriousness is busy
And none of us have enough time to unwind
Or even slow down for one minute from Hyper- Maximum- Super- Overdrive
Money
Have I fallen for you too?
