Liberal Vs. Conservative: The Coming Civil War
My book Liberal vs. Conservative: The Coming Civil War is a category by category look at the issues that face us in our time. I wrote it from November 2007 until April of 2008. The main theme is that America and the culture of the Western world as a whole are at a crossroads in our society. Essentially the polarity between the liberal and conservative viewpoints has grown so wide that we are approaching the point where they can no longer coexist peacefully. This day has not come yet, but it will soon and when it does the possibility of a real civil war between the two sides is a serious reality.
The radical change that was witnessed between the Bush and Obama administrations is a perfect example. We cannot continue to swing the pendulum this far from the right to the left and have a stable functioning society. The differences of opinion on life, the role of government, foreign affairs, and a whole host of other issues between the two sides is enormous. How much longer can we act as one people when one group believes our culture is founded on the divine principles of Judeo-Christianity and the other wants to remove “In God we trust.” from our currency? As time moves foward the views of the liberals and conservatives will only become more disparate. The animosity and vitriol of the first decade of the 21st century will only increase in depth and antipathy. When will one side feel that it no longer has a stake in the continued cooperation with the other?
I am a conservative. I am not a member of any political party. My objective in this book was to lay out what I believe to be the ideals and directions that this nation needs to go. I also try to show how the liberal ideology is fatally flawed and destructive to our culture. We must use every mechanism that our Republic has placed at our disposal to fight the menace of the leftist fascists. The world that they are trying to create is not only untenable but dangerous for mankind as a whole. Look at the insidious growth in government intrusion into our lives and any sensible person can see the disturbing foundations that are being laid for the world of the future.
Do we still have a culture based on the rights to life, liberty, and property? Do we still have a society based on the rule of law and the Constitution? How much longer until we realize that we have no more freedoms and America is no more?
